ON THE RUN NO MORE: 'PARK HILL DAVE' FINDS A HOME

On April 23, animal control officer nabbed a pooch that eluded them for months at the Denver's old Park Hill Golf Course.

This week, "Park Hill Dave" was adopted into a new home.

To lure Dave, officers used a "humane trap with a nice juicy steak inside." They then traced his microchip to a Commerce City shelter, which had found Dave a home in Aurora about a year earlier.

The wayward German Shepherd bolted on his first day there, and as best can be told, embarked on a solo journey.

Denver Animal Shelter chief Melanie Sobel said:
“Park Hill Dave survived a very difficult situation, months outside in the cold, without proper food, water, veterinary care, and the company of others."
