The 17-story Star Flyer ride stalled at Elitch Gardens amusement park Saturday, the Denver Fire Department said.
"No rescue was necessary," the fire department said. "All riders were lowered slowly with park personnel in control." None of the riders required medical attention.
Firefighters regularly conduct drills at the amusement park and "are well versed on the nuances of rescuing passengers and the coordination needed with park technicians," the fire department said.
The Star Flyer is capable of running at 50 mph, according to Elitch Gardens.
